Junk Male is now branching out into other areas of rare and limited-edition merchandise – especially for those customers that share our passions, and are keen to seek out the best products to buy and collect.
One of the reasons we find that people keep coming back to Junk Male Clothing, is that they can clearly see our enthusiasm for motor sport, and essentially; anything that’s petrol-powered – and that can be driven fast! I can trace the precise moment that I became a fan of motor racing – and in particular; single-seater racing cars and Formula 1: As a young boy, I happened to see a re-run on TV, of the classic 1966 film by John Frankenheimer - ‘Grand Prix’.
The minute I heard the ‘musical backdrop’ of a heart beating faster and faster; allied to the split-screen film showing drivers and mechanics preparing for the first race of the season (at Monaco), I was utterly spellbound. As I grew to be a young man, that film never left me. It started a lifelong passion for classic cars and motorsport, and I had to track down the film (initially on VHS, and latterly on DVD). As I grew older, I then started to collect motor racing memorabilia. Below, you will find some of the best pieces, with a specific bias towards that seminal racing movie – Grand Prix.
Please note: All of these products are second-hand originals, in excellent condition – not reproductions or re-prints. They are incredibly rare and sourced from a highly prized and cosseted personal collection. Usually, they are one-offs, but certainly hard to find anywhere else.
